Pode partir do contexto individual do aluno, em que ele mesmo constrói o seu próprio conhecimento partindo da sua experiência e com o apoio do professor ou outros colegas, até uma abordagem de aprendizagem mais colaborativa. Existe uma variedade de métodos de ensino que permitem desenvolver tanto a aprendizagem individual, como colaborativa. Há muito que a comunidade científica se vem centrando no estudo de métodos e técnicas que suportem o processo de ensino e aprendizagem, em particular, de línguas. Leffa (1998) chama a atenção para a problemática da terminologia (método/abordagem), dada a existência de diferentes métodos pelos quais se pode aprender uma língua estrangeira. Para este autor, o termo método tem uma&lt;br/&gt;abrangência mais restrita relativamente ao termo abordagem que engloba os pressupostos teóricos acerca da língua e da aprendizagem. Quando variam estes pressupostos variam as abordagens. Os alunos estão a descobrir novos usos do seu telemóvel de apoio às actividades curriculares. Para além das mensagens texto, podem captar voz, imagens e vídeos que representem a sua aprendizagem. &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:NewsGotT;"&gt;Quando deixamos que sejam os alunos a descobrir as potencialidades dos seus dispositivos móveis os professores são surpreendidos com o uso personalizado que os alunos fazem deles. Assim, por exemplo quando dei indicações sobre os conteúdos a preparar para o dia da avaliação fiquei surpreendida com alguns alunos a tomar notas no telemóvel e não no papel. Este facto é revelador que os alunos individualmente possuem hábitos tecnológicos que fogem aos padrões tradicionais. &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:NewsGotT;"&gt;Quando, noutra altura pedi aos alunos que descarregassem os ficheiros mp3 para os dispositivos móveis verifiquei que dois alunos estavam a partilhá-los via Bluetooth, o que despertou nos outros uma certa curiosidade e consciencialização do potencial desta tecnologia.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:NewsGotT;"&gt;Noutra ocasião, fiquei surpreendida quando vi um aluno a ler um ficheiro texto no ecrã do telemóvel em vez de ouvi-lo. Esta situação, despertou uma reflexão, alertando-me para os diferentes métodos de aprendizagem. Os alunos não aprendem todos da mesma maneira e têm preferências diversificadas. Por isso, a diversificação das fontes de aprendizagem é essencial, permitindo que cada aluno escolha as da sua eleição a cada instante. Embora lhes tenha dado a possibilidade de leitura e/ou audição dos conteúdos, este aluno, em questão, escolheu a leitura a partir do ecrã do seu telemóvel, não tendo no momento qualquer importância as limitações impostas pelo tamanho do ecrã, servindo perfeitamente os objectivos da actividade. &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:NewsGotT;"&gt;Outra ocasião fui surpreendida com os alunos a gravar os esclarecimentos que estava a fazer sobre um assunto curricular, para mais tarde ouvir, não necessitando de tirar apontamentos, podendo concentrar-se no momento da explicação. &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:NewsGotT;"&gt;Outro uso do telemóvel foi verificar que um aluno não tinha copiado para o caderno um esquema feito por mim no quadro. Quando abordado sobre o assunto, o aluno apenas exibiu a foto que tinha tirado com o seu telemóvel para rever em casa. Os apontamentos de hoje transferiram-se para os dispositivos de bolso que a maioria dos alunos manuseia com mestria.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:NewsGotT;"&gt;Hoje são os alunos que me perguntam onde podem descarregar os Podcasts, não necessito dizer-lhes para o fazerem. Este começa a ser um hábito no quotidiano das minhas aulas. Os alunos já sabem que cada nova unidade temática é completada com os ficheiros áudio que ajudam os alunos de forma autónoma a aprender quando e onde querem, desenvolvendo neles o gosto pela aprendizagem e a necessidade de aprendizagem ao longo da vida. &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:NewsGotT;"&gt;É uma cultura para a autonomia e aprendizagem ao longo da vida, através da utilização dos dispositivos móveis que andam no bolso do aluno, que quero desenvolver nos meus alunos. Porque hoje os jovens já não escrevem na palma da mão, como antigamente, para se lembrarem de algo, tudo é anotado no telemóvel, que através de um elemento sonoro lhes recorda o acontecimento. Alguns alunos, consideram que o telemóvel lhes permite ser mais organizados e que já não têm desculpa para esquecimentos (embora nem sempre seja assim).&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:NewsGotT;"&gt;O que pretendo é que eles descubram por si que os dispositivos móveis, que tantas vezes são alvo de distracção e indisciplina passem a ser um aliado de peso no processo de ensino e aprendizagem dos alunos. Só temos lhes abrir as portas e utilizá-los com todo o potencial que possuem. &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:NewsGotT;"&gt;Lentamente é necessário abrir as portas a outros paradigmas, a outras linguagens metodológicas para que os alunos paulatinamente se transfiram para práticas inovadoras e experiências de aprendizagem que apelem ao desenvolvimento do pensamento crítico e complexo (Jonassen, 2007). The project focuses on the impact of mobile technologies in individual and collaborative learning. Moreover, we intend to analyse if the mobile technologies will contribute to modify students’ attitudes towards school and towards learning. The technologies we are interested in have a small screen dimension, comparatively to desktop, so the model of designing a Web page for these mobile devices will have to be adapted to their dimensions. We will conceive Web pages, exercises, activities adjusted to these limitations. We will also integrate audio and video through podcasts, to facilitate access to learning. CmapTools allow not only the building of conceptual maps and sub maps with very diverse links, but also the sharing and negotiation of ideas and knowledge from everyone’s contacts on the Web.
